Parkers Barbecue Restaurant in Greenville

Not as good as I thought it would be. The chicken was fried too hard and I didn't get my monies worth. I'll stick with RJ's.

We attended a birthday party. The service was great. They had food of a wide variety that was served in bowls at the table. They have also added banana pudding to their menu.

Then going to Parker's Barbecue for 50 years the greatest BBQ in family style dinners you'll ever eat

Very disappointed. Got a BBQ sandwich, gizzards n doz hushpuppies. Gizzards were vry under seasoned n greasy. Hushpuppies were undercooked n we asked for butter n it wasn't put in bag. N they were out of sweet chicken bbq sauce which is very popular. Jus sad.

Food was cold, service very poor waiter never came back to see if we wanted anything else, only one cup of coffee and drink.Talk to manger look like he didn't care Last time I will ever eat there again. Would not want anyone else to think they could get there money worth. Go to 7-11 instead😠😠

Delicious! Very impressed. Casual restaurant, clean and well lit. Casual seating, excellent wait staff. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.

Attended an appreciation luncheon for nonprofit leaders last week and was so inspired by Billy Parker. His heart for nonprofit organizations, encouraging and challenging words, and delicious food were all gratefully appreciated! Good food is a given. But a good heart is a blessing. Thank you, Billy!

A nice place that serves quintessential East Carolina fare in a homely venue with very gracious service.

Called ahead and picked up takeout. Only about 5 min wait.

Asked for my wings to be cooked longer but they were not. The food wasn't good. The crew that I normally see and get good service was not there today. Joyce normally makes sure I get my food cooked the way I like and the older guy that works on the fry station.

Great service our waiter was awesome. Our first time visiting this restraunt we will be a return customer.

Fast service, good food. Very clean, no frills restaurant. I had Pork BBQ and fried chicken. The pork bbq was better than the chicken. Good Brunswick Stew. Family style type restaurant. This is eastern BBQ which is more vinegar based. Very southern. You will enjoy. Cash only but they have an ATM inside.

We visited Greenville from Parker, Colorado and thought we should try Parkers Barbecue. Absolutely delicious. That fried chicken is amazing. Everything was amazing. My Son lives in Greenville now, and when I go back, ill be eating there for sure. The server was so kind too.

This was recommended by some local people and I would take all of their recommendations now. The food was delicious, fast, and served well. The coleslaw was like none I have ever had before. Dont expect fine dining.

Came in on 19th in the back take out for the first time in a while because every time in came my order was always wrong but this time a short lady with a light blue shirt on helped me out at the register then she made sure that my order was right. That is was I call great customer service it is what she said it me that will keep me coming back because I have not heard that at any other restaurants. The lady said if it was not for the customers she wouldn't have a job. Then she have bless day I will be back. God bless

When I am in Greenville and hungry I stop here. Plenty of other places but I do love some good southeastern NC barbeque. Shut-up-dogs (hush puppies) are the BEST. Stop, you will love it.

The barbecue sandwich meal was alright the french fries were overcooked. Also, I brought a banana pudding from the restaurant this is the second time the bananas were brown and mushy.

I have had better. Pulled pork was good. Fried chicken was delicious. Sides were sketchy. Overall a very limited menu.

Always great! I miss being able to eat there when I want to.

I'm from Pennsylvania and always make it my business to visit Parkers when I'm in town. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the food today. Hush puppies were handed to me in a box (6 doz), poorly wrapped. I had to request they rewrap them. No that I'm home and ready to prepare them for transit, look at the size. I'll rethink making a visit next trip!

The original Parkers location is the best location of the Parkers. Their fried chicken is by far the best. 5 generations of my family have eaten there and give their seal of approval. If you're in Greenville you need to eat at a Parkers especially the original. Josh our waiter was great. He kept our drinks full and made sure we had a great meal.

WELL ITS ONLY THE BEST BARBEQUE PLACE ON THE PLANET AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED. I GREW UP ON IT AND I WILL DIE EATING IT. IF I WAS TOLD I HAD ONE LAST MEAL TO EAT AND HAD MY CHOICE IM PICKING PARKERS LARGE COMBINATION DARK MEAT WITH MAC N CHEESE, BRUNSWICK STEW, STEWED POTATOES AND HUSHPUPPIES WITH A LARGE ICED TEA!

I wish I hadn't spent my money here. My fish was mushy and flavorless. The bbq was dry and I found a hair on the side of my container of mac n cheese. The corn sticks are gross. The only thing that tasted decent were the green beans.

Great food and quick service. Could not help noticing since we were seated across from checkout and where servers hung out that one particular guy never waited on any customers while other guys hustled, greeted and were attentive to their customers. Think its quite unfair for him to get paid the same yet never work. By the way heard servers refer to a guy as their manager yet he never said nor did anything to change this behavior of this guy. Have picture of manager and guy on phone and short video of server if you are interested. This was 12/2/19 T 11:30 and left at 12:17.

Parker's is usually my top choice for a good meal. Not sure what has happened recently but I have noticed a change in their fried chicken. Its not as crispy as it used to be which is quite dissappointing. 😞 I have noticed this at several locations.

The Parker's BBQ restaurant on Memorial Drive "catered"a business lunch we had today. We placed about a dozen individual orders on Friday afternoon for a Monday all day training meeting / working lunch. The order was confirmed by one of the owners very soon after placing the order. Everyone got to order what they wanted and based on the number of cleaned off plates, it was evident the lunch was enjoyed by all. We've done this several times over the years, and the service is always spot on. The order is always correct when we pick it up, and the staff is always helpful in bringing it to the car. It's packed up nicely for easy transport. Prices are very fair and reasonable for the amount of food you get and it's just super easy. You can't ever go wrong with using Parker's for your events. We will will continue to use them.

Tasty, honest food in a friendly setting staffed by some of the loveliest people it has ever been my privilege to be served by. Thank you for the great food and for your kindness - our visit to Parker’s was one of the highlights of our trip so far!

Courteous friendly wait staff. ..delicious food served piping hot. Generous portions...social distancing enforced. We had a very enjoyable Sunday dinner here today. ..thanks Parkers!

Good Bbq not enough Bbq on sandwich

Third generation locally owned and operated outstanding. Also for first-time customers they have a little something special and make sure to ask about their daily bread ;) Barbecue with a clear mission and great taste. They also have a terrific chicken and many other items. The opened at 10AM and have free Wi-fi. Southern style BBQ, made with vinegar, great hushpuppies, fine shredded coleslaw and fried okra. Of course, free refills on tea. Great food and great service.

I rarely go inside a restaurant to eat because I am a double amputee and sometimes it's hard on me. This day I was struggling but I managed to make it inside, joining my dad for an early dinner. I noticed a little older lady was watching us the whole time we were in there. I couldn't tell if it was with disgust or wondering why I'm like this. She walks over to us after paying for her meal and asks if we enjoyed our dinner(I was expecting a rude comment to follow). Then she informs me that she paid for our meals(which was not cheap)! I guess she seen my struggle to get inside from halfway of the parking lot. And maybe felt sorry for me? Anyways I could not thank her enough and this shows there are still angels out there.

this place is childhood memories!my family use to eat here every Sunday after church, in the summer time we ate outside in those benches! food is still great!
